Students of PSAU in Kauno Kolegija: the start of the academic year and research

Higher education students of Poltava State Agrarian University, who are participating in the international academic mobility programme within the UniClaD project «Enhancing capacity of universities to initiate and to participate in clusters development on innovation and sustainability principles» are actively integrating into the academic environment of Kauno Kolegija (Lithuania).

Our students joined the celebration of the start of the new academic year on 2 September 2024. The festival, organised by Kauno kolegija, was a bright start to their stay in Lithuania. Concerts, intellectual games and delicious food created a friendly atmosphere and made students feel like full members of the student community.

On 5 September, students organised a tasting of craft cheeses made from goat's milk produced by the UniClaD project partners, Dobrokraft (Ukraine). The event helped to deepen students' knowledge and practical skills. This event became a platform for sharing experiences and conducting research. Yulia Karban, a PhD student at the Faculty of Animal Production and Food Technologies of the PSAU, gave a thorough presentation about the specific features of Ukrainian production of hard and soft goat cheeses for students of the Food Technology speciality and teachers of Kauno kolegia. The students took part in a questionnaire to evaluate the organoleptic characteristics of the cheeses after the tasting.

The international project UniClaD, which includes academic mobility, aims to increase the capacity of universities to initiate clusters and participate in their development on the principles of innovation and sustainability. The participation of PSAU students in this project is an important contribution to the development of international cooperation in the field of education and science.
